We are a youth led environmental organisation based in Mombasa. We formed BEO when we noted with concern how climate change, plastic and air pollution and destruction of wild places was affecting our home. We also noted with great concern on how there is a disconnect between our youth and the environment.
ABOUT BLUE EARTH ORGANIZATION
Started by our dedicated and visionary leaders back in March 2020, Blue Earth Organization has grown into an impactful environmental youth led organization. We emphasize on keeping indigenous communities and youth at the heart of everything we do.
Being on a Coastal region, we are at a particular risk of rising sea levels, bleached corals that affect fishing communities and plastic pollution that has detrimental effects on our ocean.
Our work is based on UN's Sustainable Development Goals nos. 1, 6, 11, 13, 14 and 17 which are Zero Poverty, Clean Water and Sanitation, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate Action, Life Below Water & Partnerships for goals.
